Description
Modern classic racer cruiser
ICE 52 is a very modern yacht, which stands out for performance, comfort on board, and is excellent both for challenging cruises and both for racing. The design looks like the latest racer ICE 33, which was launched on June 2014 from the same yard, produced in five examples and is the most competitive racing boat of it's category; the bow's shape looks like a "scimitar" and the stern has a fascinating carving form.
In the Ice 52 you can find same performances, comfort and space of the 60 feet boats of some years ago. Regarding aereodynamics profile, the water lines and the appendages allows great perfomances… like the ICE 52′s attitude to go up the wind doing closer edge and is able to glide very fastly thanks to its max beam 4,65 m therefore with stern's powerful sections.

Technical data technics and materials
Some numbers: – 12 Tons of displacement, 25% less than the average of the category – nearly 140 square meter of canvas to sail close to the wind – nearly 400 square meter to sail downwind – great safety thanks to the high stability and strong relationship between weight and ballast.
Hull and deck of the boat are laminated with an infusion techinque in sandwich with composite materials, using glass-carbon fiber with epoxy resin and PVC foam core with different density and thickness. It was chosen because it allows to sustain several strains. The localized reinforcements are made with undirectional and biaxial carbon fibers. The structures either longitudinal or traverse (bulkheads and floors), are entirely vacuum laminated in exposy sandwich using glass-carbon fibers and PVC foam cores at various densities.
The chainpaltes of shrouds, forestay and backstay are composite and steel made.
Interior
Offered in two versions, the interiors represent our interpretations of how the Italian style and the pleasure of living on board can be combined with the spending long time off shore. All the cabins are confortables and refined, with the right ventilation and completed with large lockers to stow personal belongings. All this is in a clean and modern style with exstensive use of splid wood and design of the furniture and the orientation of the wood veneer, to provide luxurious and refined interior but without loosing the typical offshore elements.
Deck
Each boat has developed a powerful and fast hull, capable of excellent performance even in light winds, thanks to the careful study of the immersed volume and the containment of the wet surface. Regarding the appendages we have the choice between fixed keel and single blade rudder or lifting keel. With the lifting is possible reduce the draft at just 7,54 ft. The fin is made of Weldox steel and the lead bulb reduce the ballast displacement and so the total boat displacement.
The steering wheel is in a forward position for an optimal view and the sails and direct control over the mainsheet even if the boat is lean. The large area of stern, clear of equipment, can be fittedwith cushions. The openable transom offers a comfortable support for sea-bathing and provides access to a large garage where it is possible to stowthe tender without deflating it (8,75 ft).
The cockpit is oversize and it is characterized by large seatbacks and benches with the possibility of a large dining table. The wide but discrete windows of the coachroof which includes also windows looking forward providesan unrivaled interior lighting without limiting privacy.
The low freeboards make the hull elegant and slender, the large windows on the sides, along with those coachroof provide a remarkable brightness to the interior, with point of view at different levels.
The boat deck is completely clean and it is equipped with electric roller-furler jib, fitted below the deck and fixed bowsprit with anchor and gennaker tack.
The great performances are guaranteed by putting together high tecnology and the incredible quality of some of the craftmanship that marked the italian sailing history. These are the qualities that have allowed the famous FELCI 61 from which derives directly the ICE 52 , to win the most important offshore races (ARC Atlantic Rally, Giraglia, L'Antigua, Sailing Week, 500x 2 and many other, but also to offer wonderful and relaxing family cruisers at the same time.
